WEINWISSER: "Helles Grüngelb. Ein zartes Parfüm nach Grapefruit und frischer Minze, dahinter Agrumen und Kreideton. Am geradlinigen Gaumen mit spürbarem, mineralischem Kern und pikanter, nerviger Säurestruktur. Im gebündelten Finale Limonenessenz und Zitronengras, endet mit tiefgründiger Terroirnote. Kein Charmeur, wirkt zu Beginn verkapselt und braucht aktuell ordentlich Luft, dann öffnet er sich immer mehr und legt zu."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Closed on the nose to begin, the Domaine de Chevalier 2017 Blanc (composed of 70% Sauvignon Blanc and 30% Sémillon) opens to aromas of ripe pears, Golden delicious apples and white peaches with notions of straw, honeysuckle and chalk. Medium-bodied, the palate is seriously intense and racy with loads of mineral sparks on the finish. It was aged for 16 months in French oak, 35% new."

DECANTER: "Punching at the top of the appellation. Herbal notes of rosemary and sage. Peach and nectarine palate, with a slatey finish. A great wine that will age. There was frost here, but Chevalier was prepared. Drinking Window 2025 - 2040"

FALSTAFF: "Helles Grün, Silberreflexe. Feine gelbe Tropenfruchtnoten nach Mango, etwas Papaya, zarter Blütenhonig. Mittlerer Körper, elegant, weiße Frucht, frischer Säurebogen, saliner Nachhall, eine feiner Speisenbegleiter."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Rich, cedary/oaky nose but the fruit is tangy and not overcome by the oak, spicy too. The oak is creamy as well as cedary on the palate. Underneath the barrel effect is a waxy richness and a lemon/grapefruit freshness. Shows clearly the importance of the two varieties here. Deep and very youthful."
