Schön definierte Säure und ein perfektes Tanningerüst, die im Zusammenspiel den Wein sportlich kleiden und das richtige Maß an Spannung vermitteln. Gute Viskosität, die einen schmeichelnden, sexy Gaumeneindruck hinterlässt. In der Summe ein wirklich perfekter Wein von Chateau Latour, der ohne Dekantieren umgehend Spaß macht, preislich im Vergleich zu den Großen ohnehin.“

JAMES SUCKLING: "This has aromas of blackberries, porcini mushrooms, tobacco and charred bark. It’s medium-bodied with fine, supple tannins. Savory, with plenty of earth and mineral character. Fresh finish. Drink or hold."

DECANTER: "Concentrated black cherries on the nose, pinkish purple in the rim. Dark nose, full of blackcurrant and touches of liquorice. Smooth texture, so juicy and mouthwateringly fresh - the flavours really hit straight away - bright cherries and strawberries, hints of liquorice, mint leaf and clove giving a lovely subtle edge of spice. Feels concentrated and dense but with a really lovely succulent lift. Tannins are soft and fine grained, full of juice and life. This has impact and generosity on the palate filled with concentrated flavours and a long finish, such a lovely overall mouthfeel."

FALSTAFF: "Dunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, dezente Randaufhellung. Intensive Crème de Cassis, ein Hauch von Sanddorn und Lakritze, Orangenzesten und Kräuterwürze sind unterlegt. Mittlerer Körper, zart floral, rotbeerig, feine Tannine, mineralisch und bereits gut entwickelt."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Latour’s indecently good 2017 Le Pauillac de Château Latour bursts with fragrant aromas of creamy cassis, wild berries and plums. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and polished, it’s supple and succulent, with an enveloping core of fruit, lively acids and already melting tannins. This is already very approachable on release."

WEINWISSER: "Dunkles Rubin mit satter Mitte. Zartes rotes Johannisbeerbouquet mit Rosenholz und duftigen Veilchen. Am saftigen Gaumen mit süssem Extrakt und bereits abgerundeten Tanninen. LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "The 2017 Le Pauillac de Chateau Latour is a blend of 52.9% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39.9% Merlot, and 7.2% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet in color, it drifts languorously out of the glass with seductive scents of roses, fallen leaves, tilled soil, and Ceylon tea, giving way to a core of cassis, redcurrant jelly, and raspberry preserves. The medium-bodied palate delivers a firm, fine-grained texture and fantastic freshness to support the delicately styled, tightly wound layers, finishing with a mineral lift."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Without much effort, you find its core of spicy currants. On the palate. the wine is fresh, bright, and crisp, with a peppery, crunchy, cassis-filled finish with touches of orange rind and spicy chocolate. You can start to enjoy this now. Drink from 2023-2037."

WINE SPECTATOR: "Generous, featuring plum and cassis aromas and flavors, this pure, expressive wine glistens with floral and iron details through the focused finish. Sneakily long. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2021 through 2032."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2017 Le Pauillac De Château Latour is round and forward, with charming notes of ripe currants, dried tobacco, and sandalwood in its medium-bodied, elegant profile. This is a pretty, already accessible, delicious Pauillac to enjoy over the coming decade or more, although, I have no doubt it will evolve for longer."
