WEINWISSER: "Dichtes Purpurgranat mit rubinroten Reflexen. Ein konzentriertes Bouquet mit Schlehensaft, Holunder und Wildkirschen. Im zweiten Ansatz frischer Rosmarin, zerstossene weisse Pfefferkörner und Pflaumenmus. Am fülligen Gaumen mit stützendem Tanningerüst, reifem Extrakt und perfekt unterlegter Rasse. Der Wein wirkt dadurch filigran und leichtfüssig. Im aromatischen Finale mit schwarzbeerigen Konturen und edler Trüffelnote. Hat alles was ein grosser St.-Émilion benötigt und ist preislich immer noch ein echter Best-Buy!"

JAMES SUCKLING: "This has attractive aromas of ripe red and dark plums and red cherries. The palate has ample flesh and lithe, juicy flavors of red plums and blueberries. The finish delivers a succulent-tannin draw. Drink or hold."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Spice, underbrush, licorice and red fruits create the aromatic profile. On the palate, the wine is medium bodied, soft, bright and fresh. There is a fiery vivacity to the red fruit. With a fitting depth of color, this wine offers extra polish."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Medium to deep garnet-purple colored, the 2017 Pressac bursts from the glass with bold black cherries, plum preserves and warm blueberry scents plus wafts of garrigue, tobacco and new leather. Medium-bodied, the palate is energetic and refreshing with bags of crunchy black fruit and a soft texture, finishing with lovely purity."

DECANTER: "Soft black, subdued fruits open up to show a brambly hawthorn-infused juice. Smoked oak fills out the mid palate without overpowering things. This has delicacy and it opens up in the glass. A good job, well handled, plenty to enjoy, not particularly intense or concentrated but this is skilful."

FALSTAFF: "Tiefdunkles Rubingranat, violette Reflexe, zarte Randaufhellung, zart kräuterwürzig unterlegte schwarze Beerenfrucht, zart floral unterleg, einladendes Bukett. JEB DUNNUCK: "The 2017 Chateau De Pressac checks in as 74% Merlot, 16% Cabernet Franc, and the rest Sauvignon. Its deeper ruby color is followed by a medium-bodied, elegant Saint-Emilion that has wonderful cassis and red currant fruits as well as classic notes of chocolate, tobacco, and damp earth. It's nicely balanced, has the vintage's elegant, straight style, and offers loads to love."
