THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Seemingly fully mature, Michel and Dany Rolland’s seductive 2000 Bon Pasteur reveals a dark garnet/plum color along with a big, sweet kiss of soy, cedar, roasted herbs, blackberries, caramelized black cherries, and hints of smoke and kirsch. This fleshy, full-bodied Pomerol reveals low acidity, a savory, broad mid-palate, and a decade of life ahead of it."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "This is probably at full maturity with all the soft lush textures, a blast of cocoa, truffle, chocolate, licorice and plum, with a silky, medium/full bodied finish. I do not see this improving from here, but it should remain at this peak for at least 5 or more years."

WINE SPECTATOR: "This has a mouthwatering core of raspberry confiture that keeps pumping along, while notes of anise, fruitcake and singed apple wood nestle in on the finish. Still nearly primal in the display of fruit, this relies heavily on that one aspect, eschewing range for outright hedonism, but does so very, very well.--Blind 2000 Bordeaux retrospective (December 2015).
