LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Pale to medium lemon-yellow colored, the 2021 La Tour Blanche comes galloping out with bold notes of pineapple tart, apricots, and honeydew melon with hints of yuzu zest, lemon curd, allspice, and a touch of honeycomb. The palate is intense and racy, with so many citrus and tropical fruit layers, supported by a decadently oily texture and fantastic freshness, finishing long and exotic. Residual sugar around 130 g/l."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Opulent with both green notes of acidity and rich, ripe notes of superbly botrytised fruit. A hint of crème brûlée. Still very youthful but with all the right ingredients packed away."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Yum. Intense aromas and flavors of apricot, lemon zest and spices, as well as mangoes and dried tropical fruit. Yet, it’s tight and and very sweet, with beautiful depth and length."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2021 La Tour Blanche, a blend of 69.5% Sémillon, 8% Sauvignon Blanc and 22.5% Muscadelle is brilliant, evoking aromas of spices, white flowers, orchard fruits and exotic fruits. Moderately weighted and perfectly balanced, it has a lively, vibrant mid-palate with a delicate texture enhanced by a lingering, fresh finish."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Honeyed tropical fruit with floral accents, apricots and hints of white peach on the nose and on the sweet, medium/full-bodied, fresh, mango and pineapple infused palate. Drink from 2023-2045."

DECANTER: "Almonds, oranges, nutmeg, lemon zest, lovely aromas on the nose. Round and fully flavoured on the palate but will a real zing to the fruit, a sherbet edge giving a buzz on the tongue and focus more on the citrus zest, orange, grapefruit and peach than the overt sweetness even though it's clearly there. Stops a little short with the spiced edges and touch of crushed stone minerality coming in. It shows promise and will gain in harmony over ageing."
