LISA PERROTTI-BROWN: "Pale to medium lemon-yellow in color, the 2021 Coutet has a wonderfully fragrant nose of lime blossoms, honeycomb, and marzipan over a core of lemon tart, juicy peaches, and spiced pears. The palate shimmers with energy and tension, delivering tightly packed stone fruit and spicy layers with a very long, opulent finish. Residual sugar around 130 g/l."

DECANTER: "Slightly toasted orange rind and vanilla caramel on the nose. Lovely density and unctuousness on the palate, really quite rich and fleshy with peach, sweet pineapple and toasted almond notes on the palate. Mouthwatering and racy, but also textured, balanced and structured. A great effort with excellent ageing potential."

FALSTAFF: "Leuchtendes, mittleres Goldgelb, silberfarbene Reflexe. Zarte Kräuterwürze, rauchige Nuancen, gelbe Tropenfrucht nach Mango, noch recht verhalten. Am Gaumen mittlere Komplexität, reife Ananas, Marille, feine Säurestruktur, zart blättrig im Abgang, insgesamt balanciert, weißer Pfeffer im Nachhall."
