WEINWISSER: "Mittleres Granat-Rubin. Frisches Kirschen- und Maulbeerbouquet, ein Hauch Johannisbeeren, dezent laktisch im Ansatz mit recht viel Druck in der Nase. Im Gaumen fleischig mit guten, leicht bourgeoisen Proportionen, umfassende, noch fordernde Adstringenz, fein körniges Extrakt, langer Nachhall. Ein kräftiger La Fleur-Pétrus mit Potenzial."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "Tasted at Bordeaux Index's annual 10-Year On tasting in London. The 2006 Château La Fleur-Petrus has a fragrant, crushed rose petal bouquet mixed with raspberry coulis and wild strawberry scents, the oak beautifully assimilated and demonstrating fine precision. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, well-judged acidity, bright blueberry and black plum notes mixed with cedar and minerals towards the finish. This is turning into a très bon vin!"

FALSTAFF: "Kräftiges Rubingranat, violette Randaufhellung. In der Nase zart nach Heidelbeeren und Lakritze, feine blättrige Würze, derzeit noch etwas verhalten. Am Gaumen elegant und saftig, süße Kirschen-Erdbeer-Frucht, feine Schokotannine, verspielt, feste Tannine mit einem guten Nougatnachhall, feine Röstaromen, sehr gute Länge, großes Reifepotenzial. Delikat und ungemein charmant."

WINE ENTHUSIAST: "Rich, sweet chocolate flavors balance with equally sweet blackberries in this opulent wine. This ripeness goes right through to the heart of the concentrated texture, even the tannins sharing in the generosity. This is a delicious wine, but wait for five years and it will be even better."

WINE SPECTATOR: "Enticing, with mint, bergamot tea, lightly mulled blood orange, melted red licorice and warmed raspberry confiture, this has the DNA of the vineyard but takes on the more open, slightly cooler feel of the vintage. The finish reveals a subtle grain, showing length and lingering minerality."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "With its cocoa powder coated cherry, earth, herb, black raspberry and truffle scented nose, the wine is a pleasure to swirl and sniff. Medium bodied, soft and silky, the wine finishes with clean, fresh cherries. I wish the wine had a little more depth and concentration. Still, I'd give it at least a few more years to develop."
