JAMES SUCKLING: "This is very beautiful for the vintage, with blackberry and blueberry aromas. Medium body, a pretty center palate and green-olive and spice character at the finish. Wonderful depth and length for the vintage. 91% merlot and 9% cabernet franc."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2021 La Croix St Georges wafts from the glass with aromas of raspberries, violets and cherries, followed by a medium to full-bodied, fleshy and sensual palate that's seamless, polished and charming, with minty oak on finish."

WEINWISSER: "Intensives leicht marmeladiges Bouquet, roter Johannisbeernektar, Himbeerkonfitüre und getrocknete Rosenblätter. Am eleganten Gaumen mit fein spröder Textur, nerviger Rasse, sehnigem Körper. Im gebündelten Finale rotbeerige Konturen, Wacholder, helles Edelholz und stützendes Graphit. Fällt im Vergleich zu den Vorjahren leicht ab."

DECANTER: "Sweet and succulent with a sourness too, fruit forward and really quite lively in the glass. Playful yet also with a serious tone and strict backbone, minerality and toasted spice propping up the fruit and driving it forward. Good complexity on show, I like the different elements and the juiciness throughout - quite a joy to drink this and I love the lick of crushed stone all the way through."
