DECANTER: "A good-quality Haut-Médoc from this family of estates that delivers consistency and value. Aged in 30% new oak, this is a rare 100% Cabernet Sauvignon and is thoroughly enjoyable, with savoury black fruits and a fine layer of tannins providing grip. It's rare to find this particular grape as a single variety in Bordeaux, really making it one to look out for. A yield of 43.5hl/ha. Drinking Window 2022 - 2038"

WEINWISSER: "Sattes Granat. Filigranes rotes Kirschbouquet, dahinter Heidelbeeren und Himbeerdrops. Am mittleren Gaumen mit reifem Extrakt und stĂĽtzender Rasse, elegant vinifiziert. Im gebĂĽndelten Finale mit Hagebutten und Preiselbeersaft, aufgerundet."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Blackberry, blackcurrant-leaf, pine, dark-chocolate and graphite aromas. Some cracked black pepper, too. It’s medium-bodied with firm, fine tannins and a mineral finish. 100% cabernet sauvignon. Try from 2022."

JEB DUNNUCK: "All Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2018 Château De Gironville is a solid, elegant wine offering plenty of red and black currant fruit, notes of cedary herbs and spice, medium-bodied richness, and a clean, classy style that's going to age gracefully. This is one of those wines that grows on you with time in the glass and its elegance and seamlessness keep you coming back. It should keep nicely for 10-12 years and, I suspect, benefit from a few years of bottle age."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Smoke, flowers, licorice and spicy red fruits on the nose work perfectly with the elegant, fresh, polished, sweet, red fruit interior. The finish is soft, round and loaded with sweet red fruits."
