JAMES SUCKLING: "A very exotic Aile d’Argent with dried-mango, fresh-pineapple, and sliced-lemon aromas and flavors. Full-bodied and very ripe, yet it’s framed by bright acidity. Tangy and vivid with a long, intense finish. Exciting. Contrastive. 38% semillon and the rest sauvignon blanc and gris."

WEINWISSER: "61 % Sauvignon Blanc, 38 % Sémillon, 1 % Muscadelle. Leuchtendes Gelb mit lindgrünen Reflexen. Intensives Weingartenpfirsichbouquet, dahinter Grapefruit, gelbe Rosen und ein zarter Hauch Muscat. Am erhabenen Gaumen mit reifem Extrakt, mineralischem Kern und tänzerischer Rasse. Im aromatischen Finale Mirabellen, weisse Blüten und Lindenblütenhonig. Ein königlicher Silberflügel, der zu den besten trockenen Weissweinen dieses Jahrgangs gehört. Der erste Jahrgang des «weissen Mouton» war 1991. Knüpft an die hervorragenden Vorjahresjahrgänge an."

JEB DUNNUCK: "Another beautiful white in the vintage, the 2021 Aile D'Argent Blanc is 64% Sauvignon and 36% Semillon brought up in 45% new barrels. Ripe melon, honeyed almond, chalky, and bright grapefruit notes all emerge on the nose, and it's medium-bodied, with wonderful purity, a great mid-palate, and one heck of a finish. I'd buy it."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Bright, crisp and with screaming fresh acidities, you start off with flowers, lemon, lime and tropical orange scents. Sweet pure and with creamy textures and a zesty mouthfeel, this a gorgeous white Bordeaux wine that will drink well young, and age well too. The wine is a blend of 61% Sauvignon Blanc, 38% Semillon and 1% Muscadelle."

DECANTER: "Expressive and open straight away, the aromas just jump out the glass - classic white fruits, ripe peach, apricot, lemon and green apple. This is round with good plumpness and a lovely depth on the mid palate. Such vibrancy and dynamism but also a touch of voluptuousness - the initial flavours filling the mouth with a really softly sweet and exotic fruit flavour, then expanding giving stone fruits and mineral notes at the end. I love the interplay of flavours changing from the beginning to the end as the wine becomes more expressive. Characterful."

FALSTAFF: "Mittleres Gelbgrün, Silberreflexe. Feine Holzwürze, zart nach Weißen Ribiseln, Nuancen von Stachelbeere und Grapefruit, kandierte Orangenzesten ist unterlegt. Mittlere Komplexität, elegant, zarte Fruchtsüße, etwas Steinobst, angenehmer Säurebogen, feiner Honigtouch im Abgang, bereits sehr harmonisch, zitronige Nuancen im Finale, delikat, ein vielschichtiger Speisenbegleiter mit guter Länge."

WINE SPECTATOR: " Juicy and ripe in feel, with a mix of peach, yellow apple and gooseberry notes wrapped with a hint of brioche. Shows nice flashes of honeysuckle and verbena through the finish. Sauvignon Blanc, Sémillon and Muscadelle. Drink now through 2022."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Mid gold. Very distinctively rich, almost fat, with massive lanolin character. Long. Voluptuous and distinctive and very long with some grassiness on the end."
