DECANTER: "Some green hints to the colour this year. Good concentration of white peach character, this is rounded but not overly fat. It has more complexity, better balance and better acidity than the Côtes-du-Rhône - it’s clearly a big step up. There’s a gentle, easy sweetness to the fruit, showing a fine, well-balanced Condrieu. Compact and rounded, it finishes on subtle peach and yellow plum notes. Made from a few rows of Viognier in AOC Condrieu that are situated at the top of the Château-Grillet amphitheatre and owned, until recently, by another producer."

JAMES SUCKLING: "Although this Condrieu is rich and succulent, the fine tannins give it backbone and very good balance. Plenty of ripe peach and apricot with a touch of candied grapefruit. The hint of bitterness at the finish really adds something to the slightly austere finish. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold."
