JAMES SUCKLING: "A firm and refined red with berry and walnut aromas and flavors. Medium body. Creamy texture. Medium finish. Needs time to open. Try after 2025."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The second wine of this great estate, the 2019 Petit-Figeac offers a vivid purple hue to go with a great nose of black raspberry and mulberry fruits supported by notes of tobacco, flowers, cedar pencil, and Asian spices. This plump, ripe, medium to full-bodied effort has a round, expansive mouthfeel, sweet tannins, and just loads of up-front charm. It's beautifully done and well worth seeking out. It's going to evolve for 10-15 years."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Aromatically open and fleshy, the Merlot to the fore. Some floral notes behind. Palate round and appealing (Merlot again) then tightens to give freshness and drive, the Cabernet taking over on the finish. Caressing texture and tannins. Clean and digeste. A tiny step towards the grand vin."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Medium-bodied, soft, fresh, forward, and already just great to taste due to all the ripe, sweet, red plums, cherries, flowers, earth and herbs. Silky, refined and ready to go, you can enjoy this on release or age it for more complexity. Drink from 2022-2032."
