WEINWISSER: "90 % Merlot, 10 % Cabernet Franc. Dichtes dunkles Rubin-Lila. Dichtes Bouquet, parfümierter Beerenkorb, Himbeeren, Kirschen, Cassis, helle Edelhölzer, Vanillin, Kokos und Tahiti-Vanillestängel, rahmig-milchige Fülle. Seidiger, extrem konzentrierter und kraftvoller Gaumen, immer fester werdend, die reifen Tannine zu einer gewaltigen Adstringenz bündelnd, dennoch immer elegant bleibend, nachhaltiges Finale."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The whopping 2008 boasts stunning aromatics of soy sauce, balsamic, blackberry liqueur, licorice and graphite. Rich, full-bodied, fleshy and succulent, this hedonistic fruit bomb is already drinking well and should continue to do so over the next decade. Very impressive!"

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Truffle, plum, jam, smoke, chocolate and black licorice scents are there from the moment you pop a cork. The wine is lush round, fat and juicy. On the palate the wine is loaded with dark chocolate, salty tannins and ripe, spicy fruits. Drink it now, or wait another year or two, and it could be even better."

JEB DUNNUCK: "The still youthfully colored 2008 Clos Dubreuil takes some time to open but is certainly impressive. With some obvious oak influence, loads of dark fruits, chocolate, and earthy aromatics, it’s medium to full-bodied and shows the classic, focused style of the vintage yet still packs some serious fruit. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years."

JANCIS ROBINSON: "Ripe and a little smoky, then much more juicy and fresh on the palate, bright, expressive and spicy. Long, aromatic finish."
