Jancis Robinson: "Served blind. Putty notes with some of the freshness of Cabernet (the 1995 effect?). Still deep crimson. Sweet and fresh though lively rather than dense. Pencil shavings note (Cabernet Franc?) and lots of freshness on the finish. Very lively. "

Wine Spectator: "Fascinating aromas of mineral, lilac and blackberry follow through to a full-bodied palate, with layers of silky tannins and a long finish. Just starting to come around. Give it more time.--´95/´96 Bordeaux retrospective. Best after 2008."

Medium bodied and more interesting on the nose, with its floral, earthy, fresh fruit charm, than on the palate, which while nice, lacks the elegant, sensuous personality I prize in La Conseillante. It is not likely time will change this."
