WINE ENTHUSIAST: "The character of this wine, a straight line of tannins and black currant fruit flavors, is the model of a classic Pauillac. It has all the structure as well as some austerity and severity at this stage in its development. But the fruit texture is rich enough, dried fruits and spice followed by licorice and bitter chocolate."

THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: 91 THE WINE CELLAR INSIDER: "Medium bodied, fresh, classic and still youthful, the red berry, tobacco, lead pencil and cedar nose brings you to a medium bodied, crisp, soft, but firm palate. Time should help this wine soften and expand."

THE WINE ADVOCATE: "The 2006 Château Duhart-Milon displayed a comparatively muted nose that does not really escape from the glass, despite encouragement (somewhat typical of Duhart in its first ten years). The palate is gritty and hard with plenty of graphite infusing the broody black fruit at the moment, though the finish feels rather pinched. Give this another 2-3 years and plenty of decanting. Tasted April 2016."
